    Target group

    This module is aimed at project managers, project team members and functional managers who work with projects.

    Objectives

    After completing the module, the participant should:
    • Have acquired knowledge about how projects are planned and executed out in practice
    • Have gained knowledge about managing stakeholder expectations
    • Have gained knowledge about methods and techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling the project

    Content

    The module covers the following areas:

    • Methods and techniques for establishing a project plan; WBS (work breakdown structure), schedule and cost estimate
    • Methods and techniques for progress monitoring and controlling - using the earned value technique
    • Managing deviations and changes
    • The project life cycle, with phases and decision milestones
    • Balancing project objectives – managing stakeholder expectations
    • Prognoses and plan revisions

    Accomplishment

    The module contains of an e-learning course and one day classroom training.
